It may be Summer time and everyone’s relaxing but at Into The Light we are planning our Autumn Events. We are organizing the assessments for our Into The Light Women Survivors Group Psycho-Educational Course which starts in September. It is pretty much full but please do email us for more information and we will put you on the waiting list.

The workshop is called:
“Tackling Triggers Together”
A Workshop On Finding Confidence Around Shame, Feeling Overwhelmed, Sexuality, And Loneliness For Survivors Of Sexual Abuse And Their Supporters
Date: Saturday 9th November 2024
Time: 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm
Venue: This workshop will be held on line.
People working: £45 or £35 (Early Bird before 10th October 2024 )
People on a low income: £20.00
We are happy to be able to offer discounts to students and those on low incomes.
We will be focusing on how being abused may impact certain aspects of how Survivors relate to themselves and others in particular around triggers and overwhelming feelings that can often arise when people have experience abuse. We will also share information and ideas on how we might build healthier a relationship with ourselves and also with those around us.
The workshop is open to all genders and is held in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere with time for sharing and discussion plus extensive handouts.
Workshop Aims include to look at:
- Breaking out of isolation and meeting others in a safe space
- Taking control of triggers and feeling overwhelmed
- Shutting down shame that’s not ours
- Understanding our younger self
- Finding confidence around sexuality
- Developing healthy relationships after past betrayal
- Safe for Survivors and Partners
- Relevant for counsellors/mental health professionals
