Hello Everyone!
We would like to wish you a Very Happy Christmas,
This has been a busy year for us and we are so grateful for all the support we have had from everyone who has helped us or contributed to our work in some way.
Over 540 people this year have contacted us for counselling, workshops groups or email support on where to get some help and resources.
Workshops
We ran two workshops this year which over 75 people attended. For both
Workshops 97% of those who came said the workshop met or exceeded
their expectations. We received some lovely feedback including:
“Thank you for putting on such a wonderful workshop delivered with kindness and thought.
It was so much more than I expected! I feel challenged and energized to look at me”
“Brilliantly tailored session.. very insightful and personal felt safely navigated around the confusion – amazing work!”
Women’s Survivors Psycho-Educational Group Courses
We ran two courses this year and received encouraging feedback from those who attended:
100% of those who came to the courses said they felt more emotionally stable, confident and had greater mental and emotional health at the end of the course. Feedback we received included: ”This course is invaluable – it has brought us out of isolation. The compassion and kindness, empathy and understanding shown by the Facilitators and other members has been very very healing”
“Being part of group counselling has brought so many benefits I had not even thought about before. I have learnt so much from the other Survivors on the course as well as the amazing Facilitators. I feel stronger as a result of meeting others and talking about our experiences.”
One to One Counselling
We were also able to offer some subsidised one to one counselling thanks to the Tampon Tax and the MOPAC Funding.
We received very positive feedback from our clients including
“Feeling listened to and understood without judgement alongside all the learning and coping skills has been of immeasurable benefit to me”.
Email Support
This year we have received lots and lots of requests for support
Signposting and information from Survivors, Partners, Social Workers,
Counselling and Mental Health Professionals.

Into The Light Featured in BACP Therapy Today Magazine
Rebecca had an article printed the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) Private Practise Magazine Summer edition on being a Survivor and also a professional counsellor. This article was also adapted and printed in the the BACP Therapy Today Magazine September issue. Into The Light and its services was also mentioned in the articles. This led to her being contacted by several counsellors asking for advice on how as Survivors they could feel less isolated. This article was also used by the BACP in their monthly Therapy Today Podcast which all BACP members can access.

People Still Suffering:
Sadly the funding we have does not match the demand and along with many other agencies we are not able to offer help to everyone who asks us – so we are constantly seeking new ways to fund and support people creatively. If you would like to donate to our work please send us an email and we can give you more information at: info@intothelight.org.uk.
Thank you!
