Thank you for reading this page about donating to the work we are doing.
We would like to tell you a little about ourselves and what any donations we receive would be used for.
If you can help us with a donation, from as little as £5, that would be great, here’s our Give a Little page.
The work we do
Into The Light exists to provide counselling, support, information and resources to people of all genders who have been sexually abused and also those that support them including Partners and Mental Health Professionals.
We do this through providing a range of services including one to one counselling, groups, workshops and training. We also work with other Survivor organisations in order to raise the profile for Survivors and campaign for better and support and more understanding in our communities.
We have felt so privileged to join with our clients on their journey.
What your donation could be used for:
£10 would pay towards supporting four Survivors via email.
£150 would subsidise One Survivor to attend the Into The Light Ten Week Psycho-Education Course for ten weeks.
£60 would enable Two Survivors to attend an Into The Light Workshop on Sexual Abuse Recovery.
£30 would pay for one Survivor to attend an Into The Light Workshop on Sexual Abuse Recovery.
£40 would pay for One Survivor to have a single counselling Session.

Recent feedback from our Women Survivors Groups included:

“I’m so grateful that a course like this exists. It was exactly what I was looking for and much more…. I liked how everybody was given an opportunity to talk and be heard. I think I can go on this course again and again and learn something new each time. I am beyond grateful for the sessions I’ve had and even more grateful that the course was able to bring me closer to other people who have been in a similar situation as myself.”
“I feel like I’ve squeezed years worth of healing into a few weeks, in the best way possible. What I’ve learned on this course has been truly invaluable. I feel really empowered and more confident to let go of shame and move forwards. The course is amazing.”
We offer one to one counselling and psycho-educational courses to all genders.
We have also had some really good feedback from our counselling including:
“I am so incredibly happy coming out of these sessions. What I wanted was clarity and I really feel I’ve got that and I feel that’s going to be hugely liberating for my life going forwards. I’m already starting to feel more at peace, and more content..I feel I have really changed.”
We have also had some very good feedback from Men accessing our Services including:
“Now I am facing the problems rather than hiding them. I am an accountable, responsible adult that is increasingly trusting its ability to recover. This is a good course to lay the foundations of your recovery.”
At a recent workshop
- 100% of Survivors said they had a greater understanding of the issues they faced and how abuse impacted their lives and relationships
- 95% of Survivors said the workshop had given them new ideas about how they might like to move forward in relationships and life
- 100% of Supporters said they felt better equipped to support their partner/friend/client who was a Survivor
Recent Feedback from our workshop attendees includes:
“The workshop was incredible, and a gift I will carry with me for my own self growth ..and for the support of those I work to support”.
“Following the workshop I felt a bit upset but also the most positive I’ve ever felt about my ability to handle this situation better.”
“I was nervous before it started because I thought it would be challenging and might leave me with lots of difficult thoughts to process. In reality it was so empowering. As a survivor I could relate to everything in the content and it was all linked together in a way that gave me so much clarity, reassurance, and let me know that what I’ve been experiencing is completely normal.”
